Use the international dialling code 00 to ensure maximum quality when you make calls to other countries.
Calling abroad with dialling code 00
- Client countries give discounts on phone calls to third countries to which calls are most often placed, which is convenient for medium-sized companies.
- Incremental discounts for foreign calls - suitable for large companies that make a lot of calls to other countries. Discount increases as you use the system more often.
Use while abroad
If you need to stay in contact while you are abroad, your phone company must have contracts with the companies that oversee mobile phone services in the respective country. They are known as roaming agreements, and Síminn has made a large number of these agreements to ensure that customers enjoy good phone connections all around the world.
Our pricelist for calls while you are abroad varies according to which country you are in. For this reason, it is split into five service regions. The same pricelist applies in each region, whether you call Iceland, a local number or make an international call.
More about making calls while abroad
When you call Iceland from another country, use the international dialling code in that country followed by the code for Iceland, which is 354, then the seven-digit phone number. In most cases, the international dialling code is 00, as in Iceland, although in the USA and Canada, it is 011.
If you are calling Iceland from a mobile phone in another country, you can enter +354 then the number you are calling. Enter the plus sign (+) by pressing * twice. >
